During the first session your psychologist will conduct a thorough assessment to gain a comprehensive understanding of your concerns and difficulties. The psychologist will use the time to get to know you, asking you questions about the main concern and also about you as a person. The first session will be used to establish needs and goals for therapy, working with you as a client to develop a treatment plan.

Sessions are approximately 50 minutes in duration.

The number of sessions varies depending on each person’s goals, circumstances, and the nature of the concerns being addressed. Some clients notice meaningful progress after a brief series of sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support to address more complex or longstanding issues. Typically, we begin with an initial assessment and a few sessions focused on understanding your needs and developing a plan together. We will regularly review your progress and collaboratively decide on the frequency and duration of therapy to ensure it continues to meet your needs.
