Why The Mind Tree?

Like a tree, our minds grow best when they are nurtured, supported, and grounded. Strong roots represent safety and resilience, while branches symbolize the many directions life can take. Our clinic name reflects our belief in helping people create strong foundations for mental health while supporting their personal growth through every stage of life.

We work with children, teens, adults, and families, offering:

Individual therapy

Child and adolescent psychology

Parenting support

Evidence-based interventions such as CBT, ACT, EMDR and play therapy

Every approach we use is tailored to meet the unique needs of each person and family we support.

About Natasha Ascenzo

Natasha Ascenzo is a registered Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about providing compassionate, practical, and effective psychological care. She has extensive experience supporting children experiencing significant emotional and behavioural challenges — from big feelings that feel hard to handle to difficulties managing frustration, anxiety, or change. Natasha works closely with families to help children feel safe, understood, and supported as they learn new ways to cope and thrive.

Natasha also works with adults across a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, relationship challenges, and self-esteem difficulties. She provides a safe, non-judgemental space where clients can explore their experiences, make sense of their emotions, and develop practical tools for change and healing.

With a strong interest in neurodivergent presentations, including autism and ADHD, Natasha takes a strengths-based and affirming approach. She tailors strategies to each individual’s unique needs, helping clients better understand themselves while building skills that support everyday life, emotional regulation, and wellbeing.

She also has a special interest in women’s health, particularly perinatal and postnatal wellbeing and the ups and downs of parenting. Natasha recognises the many challenges that can arise in these life stages and walks alongside women as they navigate the emotional and practical realities of these transitions.

Natasha draws on a range of evidence-based approaches, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Narrative Therapy

  • Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

But above all, Natasha believes the heart of therapy is the relationship. She takes the time to get to know you (or your child), creating a space that feels safe, warm, and even a little playful when it helps. For Natasha, building trust and comfort is the foundation for working well together and achieving meaningful change.
